A 37-year-old man from San Lorenzo was arrested last week after allegedly brandishing a loaded gun outside a Panera Bread in Mountain View on Friday, September 27, according to the Mountain View Police Department.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Panera Bread located at 1035 El Monte Ave., where the suspect reportedly pointed a firearm at another individual. Police received a call about the situation and dispatched officers to the scene around 6:24 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the suspect still holding the gun and promptly detained him. They also spoke with the victim who had been threatened.
According to police reports, the victim stated that the suspect was acting irrationally while standing behind his car. When the victim requested that the suspect move, he allegedly refused and pointed the gun at him. The victim had never encountered the suspect before this altercation.
The suspect was arrested on charges of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm and brandishing a concealed weapon in a public place.
