Liam Payne’s Passing: Cause of Death and Heartbreaking Funeral Details

Liam Payne, the former One Direction member, tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, leaving fans, friends, and family devastated. Following his sudden death, numerous rumors and conspiracy theories circulated, but the official cause of death has now been confirmed.

According to reports from TMZ, the prosecutor handling the case has ruled out suicide. The official investigation determined that Liam Payne’s death resulted from the effects of drugs, which caused him to fall from the third-story balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. The autopsy revealed that Liam’s injuries were consistent with a fall from a significant height. The Argentina National Prosecutor’s Office stated that his death was due to “polytrauma and internal and external bleeding.”

Liam sustained 25 injuries, including brain and skull trauma, which were sufficient to cause his death. His body also showed signs of hemorrhaging in his skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs. It is believed that Liam may have been in a semi-conscious or unconscious state before the fall.

Regarding funeral arrangements, sources close to the family revealed that plans are underway for a large service. Liam’s body was flown back to the UK on Thursday morning, with his father, Geoff, and former security guard, Paul Higgins, accompanying him. The funeral will reportedly take place near his hometown of Wolverhampton, at a cathedral that Liam cherished. Though specific details have not been revealed, the service is expected to be a significant event, reflecting the love and admiration many had for the singer.

One Direction fans have been expressing their grief and support on social media, many sharing how deeply Liam’s death has affected them, especially those who grew up listening to the band. Fans are also asking for respect and privacy for Liam’s family during this difficult time, with some urging others to avoid attending the funeral to allow the family space to mourn.
