Two men from Mountain View were arrested early Sunday morning following an alleged knife attack on another man in the parking lot of Jennifer’s Taqueria, as reported by the Mountain View Police Department.
Officers received a call at approximately 12:28 a.m. on October 13 regarding a fight outside the taqueria, located at 1929 Latham St. Upon their arrival, the victim informed the police that he had been assaulted by two men.
According to the victim, he was simply “minding his own business” in the parking lot when a group of men began shouting at him without any clear reason. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which one assailant brandished a knife near the victim’s neck while the other struck him in the face.
The victim was able to identify the two suspects involved: a 19-year-old and a 44-year-old, both residents of Mountain View. Police arrested the suspects on charges of battery and brandishing a weapon. They have since been booked into San Jose Main Jail.
