Caltrans has announced a complete closure of State Route 9 (SR-9) Big Basin Way between Sanborn Road and Redwood Gulch Road in Saratoga. This closure will be in effect from Monday to Friday, between 7 AM and 5 PM, to allow for the safe removal of fallen trees, clearing of debris, maintenance of drainage systems, and slope regrading.
On weekends, one-way traffic control will be in place during the same hours, from 7 AM to 5 PM. This maintenance work is essential for ensuring the safety of both the traveling public and maintenance crews.
Construction activities are expected to be completed by the week of November 5, 2024. Motorists are advised to plan for detours, anticipate delays, and allow for extra travel time. Changeable Message Signs (CMS) and detour information will be posted to assist drivers during this period.
