BB Gun Attacks on Cars and Businesses: 19-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Campbell

A San Jose man has been arrested on felony vandalism charges after a string of BB gun shootings targeted local businesses and vehicles, according to police.

Between September 21 and September 26, officers received reports of at least 10 incidents where windows were shattered due to BB gun fire, resulting in damages exceeding $21,700. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during these incidents. Police are urging community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

Using surveillance footage and license plate recognition technology, authorities were able to identify the suspect. On Friday at around 9:40 a.m., officers executed an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Frank Vincent Ramos Jr. outside the Bank of America at the Pruneyard Shopping Center.

During a search of Ramos’ vehicle, police discovered a black .44 magnum replica BB gun on the driver’s side floor and a half-empty bottle of BBs in the center console.

Ramos was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of felony vandalism and willful discharge of a BB gun in a grossly negligent manner. He has since posted bail, but it remains unclear when he will appear in court to face the charges.
