U.S. GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS Third Payment for Americans Receiving Both SSI and Social Security

According to Vibes.okdiario The Social Security Administration (SSA) has confirmed that there will be a special payment made before the end of November, but this will only affect individuals who have already been approved for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. This payment will be issued ahead of schedule, ensuring no delays during the busy holiday season.

Early SSI Payment for December

Typically, SSI payments are scheduled for the first of each month. However, since December 1, 2024, falls on a Sunday and banks will be closed, the SSA is sending out the December payment early. This will be the second SSI payment for November, arriving ahead of schedule on November 29, 2024, to avoid any delays.

Triple Payments for Some SSI and Social Security Recipients

In November, some eligible recipients will receive three separate payments. The first payment was issued on November 1, 2024, when both the SSI payment for November and the Social Security payment for eligible individuals were sent out. This was done early because November 3 fell on a Sunday.

For those who qualify for both SSI and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or retirement benefits, they received two payments on November 3, 2024. The third payment of the month will be the early December SSI payment, arriving on November 29, 2024.

How Much Will SSI Recipients Receive?

The November 29 payment for SSI recipients will be the December payment, and the maximum amounts are:

  • $472 for an essential person
  • $943 for an individual
  • $1,415 for an eligible married couple

However, many SSI recipients may receive a reduced amount based on other income they may have. For example, the average SSI payment for individuals aged 65 and older is around $574. In general, most recipients will receive an average amount of $697.

It’s important to remember that the exact amount a recipient will receive depends on their specific circumstances, including income, living arrangements, and other factors.
