SNAP: CalFresh payments in California, great Food Stamps checks of up to $1,756 in December

According to Vibes.okdiario , California will issue CalFresh (SNAP) benefits between December 1 and December 10, 2024, following a schedule based on the last digit of your CalFresh case number. This payment system also applies in other states such as South Carolina, Oklahoma, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Nevada.

Payment Schedule:

  • December 1: If your case number ends in 1
  • December 2: If your case number ends in 2
  • December 3: If your case number ends in 3
  • December 4: If your case number ends in 4
  • December 5: If your case number ends in 5
  • December 6: If your case number ends in 6
  • December 7: If your case number ends in 7
  • December 8: If your case number ends in 8
  • December 9: If your case number ends in 9
  • December 10: If your case number ends in 0

This schedule ensures that CalFresh recipients will receive their benefits on a specific day according to their case number.

Payment Amounts: The maximum monthly CalFresh benefits vary based on household size:

  • Individual: Up to $292
  • Couple/Family of 2: Up to $536
  • Family of 3: Up to $768
  • Family of 4: Up to $975
  • Family of 5: Up to $1,158
  • Family of 6: Up to $1,390
  • Family of 8: Up to $1,756

For each additional family member beyond 8, there is an extra $220 added to the monthly payment.

CalFresh benefits can be used alongside other government programs, such as SSI or Social Security (retirement or SSDI). Those eligible should apply to maximize their food assistance and save money on essential groceries.
