Alaska provides higher SNAP payments than Hawaii, with eligible recipients receiving up to $586 for an individual. However, Alaska will not issue new payments until January 1, 2025. The U.S. Virgin Islands will also issue their next SNAP payments on January 1, 2025.
Guam also offers higher SNAP payments than the 48 contiguous states. Eligible recipients in Guam will receive up to $431 through December 10, 2024. In contrast, SNAP recipients in the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., can receive a maximum of $292.
