According to The Sun, In an effort to enhance the shopping experience and help customers save money, Stop & Shop has launched new “Savings Stations” across its stores. This initiative coincides with the retailer’s plans for store remodeling.
Digital Savings Stations
The newly introduced Savings Stations are digital kiosks designed to simplify the process of redeeming digital coupons. Customers can easily save on groceries by utilizing these in-store stations, which are integrated with the GO Rewards loyalty program.
Enrolled customers can earn points through their purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts on future grocery purchases, free products, or gas savings.
How It Works
To use the Savings Stations, customers simply scan their GO Rewards loyalty card or enter their phone number. This action automatically activates all digital coupons linked to their account. Additionally, the Savings Stations tailor personal offers for customers, highlighting relevant deals based on their shopping habits.
First in Rhode Island
Stop & Shop is proud to be the first grocery retailer in Rhode Island to make digital coupons more accessible to shoppers. The rollout of the Savings Stations is part of a broader initiative to implement these kiosks across all stores by early next year.
“Today, we are announcing a significant investment in our Rhode Island Stop & Shop stores that will deliver a better shopping experience and bring more value to our local customers,” said Roger Wheeler, President of Stop & Shop. He added, “We have been listening to our customers – and we have heard you. That is why we’re making it possible to buy more groceries for your family, at a lower cost, at every one of our stores in Rhode Island.”
Additional Benefits for Shoppers
Along with the introduction of the Savings Stations, Stop & Shop has also made several customer-friendly changes. The retailer has confirmed the removal of the 10-cent surcharge for paper bags, effective October 8, making bags free again for shoppers in Rhode Island.
This move is part of the company’s initiative to “make groceries more affordable” for local residents. In addition to waiving the paper bag fee, Stop & Shop will lower prices on thousands of national and private brand items, resulting in approximately 87,500 price reductions across all departments in each store.
Price Reductions and Offers
Shoppers can expect price drops on over 3,500 products, marked with yellow tags to highlight the reductions. Examples of discounted items include Boneless Chicken Breast Value Packs, Hass Avocados, Kraft Shredded Cheese, and Yoplait Yogurts, with reductions ranging from 11% to 30%.
In addition to the price drops, Stop & Shop will offer other benefits for Rhode Island shoppers, including weekly sales, deal lock, and meal deals. The deal lock program secures sale prices for multiple weeks, while meal deals provide families of four with discounted main protein-based dishes, along with complimentary items to create a complete meal.
Store Presence
Stop & Shop operates over 350 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island, continuing to focus on enhancing customer value and savings in a competitive retail environment.
