According to The Sun, Thousands of Americans are being urged to check their eligibility to claim payments exceeding $7,000 from a multi-million dollar settlement. This is the final opportunity for those affected by the $3.25 million class action lawsuit to apply for compensation, and a simple receipt is all that is required.

See Tickets, a ticketing service responsible for selling around 20 million tickets a year, reportedly failed to protect consumer information during a data breach that occurred in September 2023. The lawsuit claims that hackers stole payment card information during this cyberattack. Although the company denied any wrongdoing, it agreed to pay $3.25 million to resolve the lawsuit.

How to Claim Your Payment

Individuals who believe they are eligible for a payment from See Tickets must file a valid claim form by October 20, 2024. Class members could receive up to $2,000 in reimbursement for various expenses, including:

  • Communication charges
  • Interest on short-term loans
  • Credit expenses
  • Travel costs

Additionally, eligible individuals may claim up to $5,000 for extraordinary losses related to the data breach, which includes damages from identity theft or fraud.

Those involved in the lawsuit can choose between three years of free credit monitoring services or a pro-rata payment of up to $100. To file a valid claim, class members must provide proof of their losses, which can include:

Furthermore, the settlement also benefits a subclass of affected individuals from California, who are eligible for an additional payment of $100.

The company faces accusations of violating Illinois laws by using “fingerprint time clocks” and temperature scanners over an eight-year period.

Magid Glove Settlement Details

Anyone who used a fingerprint-scanning clock or had their temperature taken by one of these scanners at Magid’s Romeoville, Illinois facility between January 8, 2016, and August 30, 2024, may be eligible for compensation.

Additionally, streaming giant Tubi has agreed to pay $19.99 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging that it shared users’ personal information with third parties without obtaining consent, thereby violating the Video Privacy Protection Act. While Tubi has not admitted any wrongdoing, the settlement means that thousands of users now have the opportunity to receive a share of the payout.

According to the settlement terms, class members will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund, with the exact amount depending on the total number of claimants.
