According to The Sun , Customers of State Farm may be eligible to receive hundreds of dollars in a one-time distribution following a class action lawsuit over underpaid vehicle claims in Washington state. The lawsuit accused the insurer of failing to pay full claims for vehicles with permanent damage after accidents, leaving them unable to return to their previous condition. The plaintiffs argued that State Farm should have compensated customers for “diminished value” damages under Washington state law.
Although State Farm did not admit any wrongdoing, it agreed to a $2.09 million settlement to resolve the claims and avoid further legal costs. Customers who meet certain eligibility criteria may be entitled to a portion of this settlement.
