The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed the schedule for the final SNAP payment in Hawaii for October, with eligible recipients receiving up to $3,102. Hawaii’s SNAP payment amounts are higher than those in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia due to increased inflation in the state.
While other states have seen an increase in their maximum payments after the latest Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), Hawaii has experienced a reduction in the maximum payment amounts for SNAP recipients.
Upcoming SNAP Payment in Hawaii
According to the USDA, Hawaii will issue the next SNAP payment of up to $3,102 on October 5. However, not all recipients will receive their benefits on the same day. Some individuals in Hawaii already received their payments on October 3. The payment schedule is based on the first letter of the recipient’s last name:
- A – I: SNAP payment on November 3
- J – Z: SNAP payment on October 5
