Cash App Users Eligible for $2,500 in $15M Data Breach Settlement – File Online Claim Now

Users of the popular online payment service Cash App can now claim up to $2,500 as part of a $15 million class action settlement related to data breaches. The deadline to submit a claim is approaching fast, with consumers urged to fill out an online form by November 18, 2024 to access the funds.

Settlement Details

The settlement comes after a class action lawsuit alleged that Cash App and its parent company, Block (formerly known as Square), failed to adequately protect user data and prevent unauthorized access to accounts. Plaintiffs also claimed that the company mishandled customer complaints related to security breaches and fraudulent transactions.

While Block denied any wrongdoing, the company opted to settle the case to avoid further litigation costs.

Additionally, users can be compensated for time lost dealing with the breach, up to $65.
