According to The Sun , Thousands of Americans could be eligible to receive up to $7,500 in one-time payments as part of a multi-million dollar settlement following a 2024 data breach involving Bridgeway Center.
The company was sued for allegedly failing to protect consumer data from a cyber attack that exposed sensitive information. Plaintiffs in the class-action lawsuit claim that Bridgeway Center’s negligence allowed hackers to access personal data that could have been safeguarded through reasonable security measures.
Although the company has not admitted wrongdoing, it agreed to settle the lawsuit with a payout sum presumed to be in the millions. As part of the settlement, class members may be eligible for different levels of reimbursement depending on the extent of their losses:
- Up to $5,000 for documented extraordinary losses caused by the breach.
- $1,500 for documented ordinary losses and time spent dealing with the incident.
- A cash payment of $125 for those without documented losses.
To claim a payment, individuals must submit proof of their data breach-related losses, such as account statements, receipts, bills, invoices, or credit reports. Claims must be filed by December 26, and they must be submitted under penalty of perjury, with fraudulent claims potentially harming other eligible members.
For more information or to file a claim, individuals can visit the settlement website.
This case, known as Bridgeway Center Cyber Incident Litigation, is being heard at the First Judicial Circuit Court for Okaloosa County, Florida (case number 2024-CA-1395).

Shoppers may also benefit from settlements involving overcharges at Costco, as well as a $15 million settlement for Cash App users affected by a data breach.
