Macaroni, a one-year-old Pug mix, faced this heartbreaking fate when her family brought her to a shelter in Los Angeles, California, and left her behind. Her world turned upside down as she realized she was saying her final goodbye to the people she had known and loved.
A video of Macaroni being surrendered quickly went viral, capturing the hearts of thousands of people across the country. Many prayed for this sweet pup to find a new home where she could experience love and security once again.
The HIT Living Foundation, a Los Angeles-based rescue organization, was already at the shelter to rescue another dog and her puppies. When they saw Macaroni trembling in fear, held in the arms of her family, they immediately sprang into action. Macaroni was too terrified to understand what was happening, and it was clear that she would not do well in the shelter environment.
The team learned that Macaroni had been surrendered due to the family’s daughter’s allergies, which made it even more heartbreaking. Not wasting any time, the volunteers quickly took Macaroni in, determined to offer her a fresh start.
At first, Macaroni remained scared and unsure of her new surroundings. She was devastated by the loss of her family and terrified of the unknown. The volunteers at the rescue organization couldn’t help but shed tears for the little dog as she faced yet another journey, surrounded by uncertainty.

A New Beginning
Despite the difficult start, Macaroni soon found comfort in the loving arms of her foster family, Angela and Natacha. She began to open up and trust again, quickly bonding with her new foster family and their dogs. Macaroni began to realize that this new environment was one filled with kindness and care.
Over the next few weeks, Macaroni blossomed into a playful, happy dog who was excited to enjoy life once more. She found peace playing in the yard and snuggling up on the couch with her foster family. Her gentle, sweet nature made it easy for her to form bonds with everyone she met.
Macaroni got along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and especially children. Her loving and affectionate personality captured the hearts of everyone she encountered. It didn’t take long for her to win the affection of a forever family who was eager to adopt her.
In an update shared on TikTok, the HIT Living Foundation joyfully announced that Macaroni had found a family who was in the process of adopting her. The organization expressed their happiness, writing, “We’re so glad we came across you and got to give you the life you deserve.”
After all the heartbreak and uncertainty, Macaroni is now on the path to a bright future, where she will be showered with love and care by her new family. This time, it’s for good.
