According to Vibes.okdiario, The Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payment schedule for October will bring four checks this month. However, recipients can only be eligible for one of these payments unless they receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) as well, which is a separate program funded by the Federal government.

The first SSDI payment date for October is scheduled for October 3, 2024. However, this payday only applies to recipients who started receiving benefits before April 30, 1997. SSDI recipients will have three additional paydays later in the month on October 9, 16, and 23.

- October 3: SSDI recipients who started receiving benefits before May 1997 or those who receive both SSDI and SSI.
- October 9: SSDI recipients with birthdates from the 1st to the 10th of any month.
- October 16: SSDI recipients with birthdates from the 11th to the 20th of any month.
- October 23: SSDI recipients with birthdates from the 21st to the 31st of any month.
SSDI Maximum and Average Benefit Amounts in October
The maximum SSDI payment for October 2024 can reach up to $3,822. However, this amount is only achievable for individuals who have consistently earned the taxable maximum for 35 years, filed as late as Social Security allows, and worked in jobs covered by the program.

In addition to the recipient, certain family members may qualify to receive SSDI benefits based on the recipient’s record. For example, the recipient’s spouse and children could also be eligible for monthly Social Security checks.
Here are the average SSDI benefit amounts for October:
- $1,539 for workers with a disability.
- $421 for spouses of workers with a disability.
- $492 for children of workers with a disability.
Family Benefits for SSDI Recipients
