Citrus County, Florida – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on South Scarlet Oak Terrace on December 19, where a man had been reported shot. The victim, identified as 44-year-old Aaron Michael Kyle, later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Shawn “Bam” Hutton, 34, was arrested the day after the shooting. Law enforcement tracked down the vehicle linked to the crime, prompting an arrest warrant for a second suspect, 34-year-old Andrew Douglas Gore.
Sheriff Mike Prendergast praised the investigative efforts, saying, “This case has presented significant challenges. Our detectives have worked tirelessly on this case, and it was crucial to maintain the integrity of the investigation by withholding certain details. This careful approach ultimately ensured the immediate arrest of the two suspects involved, demonstrating our commitment to a thorough investigation.”

While the motive for the shooting has not been confirmed, early indications suggest the crime may have been related to a home invasion robbery.
Both Hutton and Gore face charges of murder during the commission of a home invasion robbery, home invasion with a firearm or another deadly weapon, and kidnapping with the intent to commit any felony.
