In Florida, buffet restaurants are a popular dining option, offering the chance to sample a variety of dishes for a fixed price. One of the well-loved chains is Golden Corral, though the state has seen a decline in the number of its locations in recent years. However, a new buffet has emerged, gaining traction and expanding rapidly across Florida.
Chow’s Buffet made its debut in Florida in 2023, taking over a former Golden Corral location in South Jacksonville after a $1 million renovation. The chain, which also has restaurants in Georgia, serves a diverse menu featuring Southern comfort food like fried chicken and ribs, alongside Asian-inspired dishes.

With over 150 entrees, sides, salads, and desserts to choose from, plus seasonal specials during the holidays, Chow’s Buffet offers something for everyone. Lunch is priced at $11.49 for adults Monday through Friday, with a weekend rate of $15.99. Dinner is set at $15.99 every evening, and senior and military discounts are available.
Customer feedback has been positive, with many praising the variety and quality of the offerings. For example, Jodie, a satisfied customer, left a glowing review highlighting her enjoyable experience.
As the chain expands, Chow’s Buffet is planning to open new locations in Jacksonville’s Orange Park, Titusville, and Orlando’s Colonial Drive. The Titusville location is set to open at 3125 Columbia Boulevard, according to What Now Orlando.
