The Florida Supervisors of Elections Association has introduced a scholarship program aimed at supporting college students committed to education and civic engagement.
Nassau County Supervisor of Elections Janet H. Adkins shared that the program will award three $1,200 scholarships to eligible students across Florida.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be registered voters in Florida.
- Have lived in Florida for at least the past two years.
- Be majoring in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communication.
- Be classified as at least a junior in college.
- Be enrolled full-time at a senior college or university in Florida.
- Have maintained a “C” average or higher during the previous academic year.

Application Process
The deadline to apply is March 7, 2025. Applications are available online or can be picked up in person at the Nassau County Supervisor of Elections Office.
Completed applications must be submitted to the elections office in the applicant’s county of voter registration. Each county will select one finalist to forward to the Florida Supervisors of Elections Scholarship Committee for final consideration.
