Hawaii Woman Hannah Kobayashi Found Safe After Mysterious Disappearance

Hannah Kobayashi, the 30-year-old woman from Hawaii, has been found safe, her family confirmed on Wednesday.

Through a statement released by the family’s attorney, her relatives expressed their relief and gratitude for her safe return after she missed a flight in Los Angeles in November. The statement, attributed to her mother Brandi Yee and sister Sydni Kobayashi, shared the family’s appreciation for the support they received during this difficult time.

“This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through,” the statement read. “We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us. Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us.”

Police investigations revealed that Kobayashi had voluntarily left the U.S. and crossed into Mexico after sending a series of cryptic text messages to her family, which led to extensive searches for her in the city of Guadalajara. Tragically, during the search, her father, Ryan Kobayashi, 58, died by suicide in Los Angeles.

The family did not release further details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance or her return.
