According to Vibes.okdiario ,The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) has announced the final SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) payments for December. For states like Texas and Florida, benefits will be issued through December 28, 2024. While the 48 contiguous states generally have lower SNAP benefit amounts, territories like Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands provide the largest benefits in December.
However, Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have already distributed their benefits, so Guam will be the last territory to send out significant SNAP payments in December.
SNAP Payment Dates and Eligibility in Guam
In Guam, the SNAP benefits are higher compared to the 48 contiguous states. For instance, a single individual in Guam can receive up to $431, while the maximum payment for a family of four is $1,437 and for a family of eight, it can be as much as $2,588.
Guam uses a system based on Social Security Numbers (SSN) to determine when SNAP payments are issued. For example, if your SSN ends in 8, you’ll receive your benefits on December 8. Those whose SSN ends in 9 will get their payment on December 9, and the last payment in Guam will go to recipients whose SSN ends in 10, with benefits issued on December 10, 2024.
