Mega Millions $200 Million Jackpot Ticket From Encino Gas Station Set to Expire

A nearly $200 million jackpot-winning lottery ticket is just hours away from expiration, with no one having claimed the prize yet.

The Mega Millions ticket was one of two winning tickets sold at the Chevron gas station in Encino, located on Ventura Boulevard, on December 8, 2023. Both tickets hit on all six numbers—21, 26, 53, 66, 70, and 13—required to win the jackpot.

While one of the winners has already claimed their share of the $395 million prize, the second half remains unclaimed, and it will expire at the end of Saturday.

California Lottery spokesperson Carolyn Becker expressed regret, noting, “We have no way of knowing who has the second jackpot-winning ticket from that incredible night. While it’s a shame to see any winning ticket expire, it does benefit California public schools. All unclaimed prize money goes to support public education, so at least it’s still contributing in a positive way.”

The unclaimed prize winner still has options to collect their winnings. They can visit one of nine California Lottery offices statewide with the ticket and claim form, or they can mail their completed form and ticket to the California Lottery headquarters. The claim must be postmarked by Saturday to be valid.
