The Maryville Police Department (MPD) has arrested a Florida man previously convicted of DUI manslaughter.
Captain Rogers of the MPD reported that 34-year-old Geoffery Glover was wanted in Florida for violating probation related to the DUI manslaughter conviction.
Acting on a tip from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, MPD officers located Glover at a motel on West Broadway Avenue in Maryville. Officers approached Glover and arrested him without incident.
Following his arrest, Glover was transported to the Blount County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Florida.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers stated that Glover had been wanted since at least November 2023. Records from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office indicate that Glover was initially booked on the DUI manslaughter charge in December 2012 and released in May 2013.
