An FBI agent, Eduardo Valdivia, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, two years after being acquitted of attempted murder charges. Valdivia, 40, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, faces serious accusations including two counts of second-degree rape, four counts of fourth-degree sexual offense, and four counts of second-degree assault.
The charges stem from allegations by two women who say they were sexually assaulted inside a tattoo studio, DC Fine Line Tattoos, which Valdivia operated under the alias “Lalo Brown.” The first woman claims she was raped in October after being offered a free tattoo in exchange for modeling artwork. When she returned for a second session, she was assaulted. Police say she was then coerced into returning for a second assault, under threat of legal action if she did not comply.
A second woman came forward this month with similar allegations, also claiming she met Valdivia through the same Instagram account. Investigators suspect there may be other victims, as Valdivia’s tattoo business and social media page may have attracted more women.
Valdivia is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center. His attorney has not commented. The FBI has suspended Valdivia and is cooperating fully with Montgomery County police in their ongoing investigation.
This arrest comes two years after Valdivia was acquitted of attempted murder and other charges related to a 2020 Metro train shooting. Valdivia, who was off duty at the time, claimed self-defense in the incident, but prosecutors argued that the shooting was unprovoked. Despite the acquittal, the new charges against Valdivia have raised serious concerns about his conduct and prompted further investigation.
Montgomery County police have urged any additional victims to come forward, emphasizing that no contract or agreement can justify sexual assault. The investigation continues, with authorities urging victims to speak out and seek justice.
