House Explosion in Bethel, Ohio Claims Two Lives, Injures One

A deadly explosion rocked a home in Bethel, Ohio, on Tuesday morning, killing two people and injuring a third. The blast, which occurred at approximately 8:44 a.m. in the small village southeast of Cincinnati, caused widespread destruction and sparked a fire. Bethel Fire Chief Christopher Cooper confirmed the explosion sent debris flying across the neighborhood, creating a chaotic scene.

Residents in the area felt the impact of the explosion, with one homeowner reporting a “shockwave” that reverberated throughout his house. Neighbor Stephanie Young described the blast as “louder than any boom I’ve ever heard,” and said debris was scattered all around when she stepped outside.

The cause of the explosion and subsequent fire is still under investigation. Officials noted that the home, a one-story ranch, used propane for fuel rather than natural gas. The injured person, a man, sustained burns from the explosion. The identities of the victims have not been released as authorities continue to probe the incident.
