The Florida high school football postseason is underway, with teams putting on stellar performances in the first round of the FHSAA playoffs. As part of the excitement, SBLive Florida has unveiled its Tampa Bay Football Player of the Week nominees for Nov. 11–16. This week, 15 standout athletes are in the running for the honor, and we’re asking you, the fans, to vote for the top player!

Here’s a look at this week’s nominees:
Gianni Flore, Newsome
- Position: Running Back
- Performance: Carried the ball 26 times for 166 yards and scored two touchdowns in a thrilling 34-27 win over Sumner in a Region 7A-2 quarterfinal.
Tony Marshall, Plant City
- Position: Running Back
- Performance: Delivered an electric performance with 16 carries for 156 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-28 victory over Riverview in a Region 7A-2 quarterfinal.
J.C. Mirasola, Plant
- Position: Quarterback
- Performance: Completed 18 of 25 passes for 262 yards and threw four touchdown passes in a dominant 45-7 win over Bartow in a Region 6A-2 quarterfinal.
Dane Bathurst, Plant
- Position: Defensive End
- Performance: Recorded four tackles for loss, three sacks, and an interception in Plant’s 45-7 Region 6A-2 quarterfinal victory over Bartow.
Jayden Cornelius, Durant
- Position: Quarterback
- Performance: Contributed through the air and on the ground, completing 2 of 4 passes for 25 yards and a touchdown while rushing nine times for 106 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-17 win over South Lake in a Region 6A-2 quarterfinal.
Anthony Harris, Largo
- Position: Wide Receiver
- Performance: Caught seven passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns, propelling Largo to a 28-24 win over Palmetto in a Region 6A-3 quarterfinal.
Jayden Burgess, Largo
- Position: Defensive Back
- Performance: Delivered a standout defensive effort with 16 tackles and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown in Largo’s 28-24 victory over Palmetto.
E.J. Archield Jr., Gaither
- Position: Quarterback
- Performance: Completed 15 of 21 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns, adding a rushing score in Gaither’s 42-0 shutout of Springstead in a Region 5A-2 quarterfinal.
Ryan Hamilton, Gaither
- Position: Wide Receiver
- Performance: Hauled in six receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns in Gaither’s 42-0 Region 5A-2 quarterfinal win over Springstead.
Jaden Casanova, Pinellas Park
- Position: Quarterback
- Performance: Passed for 238 yards and three touchdowns in a valiant effort during Pinellas Park’s 55-26 loss to Manatee in a Region 5A-3 quarterfinal.
Justin Thurman, Jesuit
- Position: Running Back
- Performance: Rushed 12 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Jesuit’s 29-3 Region 4A-3 quarterfinal win over Clearwater.
Jeffery Jones, St. Petersburg
- Position: Running Back
- Performance: Had an incredible 18 carries for 302 yards and five touchdowns, leading St. Petersburg to a 35-0 rout of Dunbar in a Region 4A-3 quarterfinal.
Ronnell Dubose, Jefferson
- Position: Running Back
- Performance: Rushed 28 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns in Jefferson’s 21-16 Region 3A-3 quarterfinal win over Hudson.
Walter Flounory, Boca Ciega
- Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
- Performance: Made seven receptions for 159 yards and three touchdowns, and returned an interception for a touchdown in Boca Ciega’s 52-13 Region 4A-3 quarterfinal win over Chamberlain.
Jershaun Newton, Clearwater Central Catholic
- Position: Quarterback
- Performance: Was nearly perfect, completing 14 of 15 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 79 yards and another touchdown in a 64-14 Region 1A-2 quarterfinal win over Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.
