Don’t Miss Out on $4,000 from Data Breach Settlement – Act Now with This Paperwork

According to The Sun , Time is running out to claim up to $4,000 if your personal information was exposed in the December 2022 Acrisure data breach.

Acrisure, a financial technology and insurance company, faced allegations of inadequate data protection during the cyberattack. Although the company denies any wrongdoing, it has agreed to a settlement to resolve the claims.

Those impacted by the breach can seek reimbursement for financial losses related to fraud, identity theft, or other expenses. According to Top Class Actions, this may include costs for services like credit monitoring or time spent dealing with issues resulting from the breach. Claimants can also receive up to four hours of lost time compensation and two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services.

To file a claim, you’ll need proof of expenses, such as account statements, tax documents, fraud claims, or receipts. The final approval hearing for the settlement has occurred, and the deadline to submit a claim is Thursday, November 14.

In addition, Americans could qualify for up to $5,000 from a separate data breach settlement with Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute, which agreed to pay $400,000 after a cyberattack compromised thousands of users’ personal data, including Social Security numbers and medical records.

Anyone who received a data breach notice from Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute is eligible to apply. Claimants can seek reimbursement of up to $5,000 for documented losses or receive a pro rata payment, estimated at around $150, depending on funds available.
