A Florida woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of another woman during a social media livestream. Savon Tyler, 35, faces charges of first-degree premeditated murder and is being held in Seminole County Jail without bond, according to jail records.
The Sanford Police Department reported that the deadly incident occurred at Greystone Townhomes on Tuesday night, following an argument between Tyler and Lauren Martin, 34. Police responded to the scene just after 7 p.m. and found Martin lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Authorities believe the confrontation began when Martin, involved in an ongoing dispute with Tyler, drove to Tyler’s home. Upon arriving, Tyler armed herself with both a “children’s miniature baseball bat” and a “9mm Sky handgun.” According to court records, the two women briefly argued before a physical altercation ensued, during which Martin was shot.
The incident was livestreamed on social media, and Sanford police confirmed they are in possession of the video footage. Tyler was arrested at the scene without incident, and police assured the public that no other suspects are involved.
Tyler now faces serious charges in the tragic altercation that escalated into a deadly shooting.
