Shooting Incident in St. Mary’s County: Two Arrested, One Suspect Still At Large
Two men are in custody, and a third remains at large following a multi-agency investigation into a shooting that left a man critically injured and airlifted to a hospital in Southern Maryland.
Mark Albert Fenwick, 32, of Park Hall, and 36-year-old Jarrell Raheim Johnson from Prince Frederick were arrested in Prince Frederick as part of the investigation into the shooting incident in St. Mary’s County. The third suspect, Charles Henry Thompson, a 30-year-old resident of Lexington Park, is still at large.
Deputies responded to the scene on Wednesday, October 30, around 8:15 p.m. to the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive in Lexington Park, where they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders quickly provided treatment, and the victim was subsequently airlifted to an area hospital for urgent care and evaluation.
This shooting follows a similar incident in the same neighborhood last month, which also resulted in one person being hospitalized.
Authorities have described Thompson as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 162 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Fenwick faces serious charges, including:
- Attempted first- and second-degree murder
- First- and second-degree assault
- Aggravated assault
- Armed robbery
- Robbery
- Theft of $100 to under $1,500
- Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle
- Rogue and vagabond
Johnson has been charged as an accessory after the fact. Both suspects are currently held at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities are actively searching for Thompson.
