Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Friday, November 1, around 11:47 p.m., in the 45000 block of Breezy Lane in Hollywood. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with a gunshot wound and immediately provided first aid. The individual was then airlifted to a nearby hospital by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 with injuries that appear to be non-life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
Following the incident, suspects fled the area in a vehicle, prompting a pursuit by deputies that continued north through St. Mary’s County. The chase ended in Charles County when the vehicle was disabled near Route 301 and Mitchell Road. Deputies apprehended one suspect at the scene, while additional suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Three were quickly located and taken into custody, with support from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police.
The case is now being handled by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. This investigation remains active, and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
