According to the Social Security Administration, the average payment for SSI is approximately $698, while the average SSDI payment is around $1,539. These payment amounts can vary significantly among recipients based on factors such as work history, filing age, and personal earnings or resources.

Upcoming Payment Dates

While SSI and SSDI payments typically occur on different dates, there are instances when they align. This can happen when a Social Security payment needs to be sent earlier due to the previous business day falling on the first of the month. This scenario will occur on November 1, 2024.

All SSI recipients will receive their next payment on November 1, 2024, provided they remain eligible.

SSDI Payment Eligibility

To receive your SSDI payment on November 1, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • You are also receiving SSI in addition to SSDI.
